"…We have worked together on over one million square feet of structural steel projects throughout the last three years. Whitley Steel has finished every project on time, with good quality and on budget. I have been quite satisfied with Whitley's quality from shop drawing preparation, fabrication and on site erection… I look forward to many more successful projects with Whitley Steel."

William D. Gardner, Vice President
DANA B. KENYON COMPANY

Founded in 1973, Whitley Steel Co., Inc has established itself as a leading structural steel fabricator and erector of the Southeastern US. Through close working relationships with numerous contractors, Whitley Steel has helped provide the structural soundness of many construction projects such as office buildings, schools, shopping centers, hospitals, churches, warehouses and freezer facilities. By providing a complete package of steel construction services, including detailing, shop fabrication and field erection, Whitley Steel is able to respond to the complex challenges of "fast track" construction projects in a timely, efficient manner.

Technological Capabilities

Whitley Steel's 23 acre site houses a 138,000 square foot fabrication facility, as well as operations, detailing and administrative offices. Through continuous capital investments, the company's capabilities remain on the cutting-edge of technology. An automated detailing system in combination with sequentially arranged specialized fabrication equipment fabricate raw materials on an anticipated fabrication path. Whitley Steel's trucking fleet provides timely deliveries to each jobsite where skilled erection crews use cranes, boomtrucks and welding machines to pre-assemble and lift steel component parts to form the steel backbone of each project.

Management Team

Senior management and key personnel possess the technical expertise and experience required to manage complex projects and implement quick, multiple design changes in a timely, cost effective manner. Whitley Steel's achievement and maintenance of category II certification by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) demonstrates the company's ability to construct projects in accordance with industry and customer standards.
